Weekly review exercise

Do you wish you had more control over your life? This gentle exercise will help you focus your energies and move in a direction of your choosing.

Transcript

Do you wish you had more control over the direction your life is flowing in? If so, give this 10-minute weekly review exercise a go. All you need to do is pick a regular day of the week and a time and ask yourself five questions.

Number 1: What specific progress am I grateful for having achieved this past week?

Number 2: What challenges did I encounter?

Number 3: What solutions did I apply to overcome these challenges?

Number 4 (looking forward now): What am I going to prioritise this coming week?

Number 5: How am I going to get more – even more – out of life this coming week?

Note: When you reflect backwards over your week, you give yourself you the opportunity to glean insights that help you reproduce conditions for success. Conversely, when you cast your eye forward you focus your attention on the outcomes you would like to achieve so you can make more intentional, strategic choices and save yourself from repeating unconstructive patterns or running in circles.
